Summa Cum Laude Youth Music Festival

The Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival, Europe’s premier festival for choirs, bands and orchestras brings together young musicians from around the world for an extraordinary celebration of music in Vienna, one of the great cultural capitals of Europe.

For the participating musicians, the festival is a rare opportunity to experience the city not simply as visitors, but from the very stages that have defined classical music for centuries. Performances take place in some of Vienna’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and the Wiener Konzerthaus — venues whose names are inseparably linked with the history of classical music.

Yet the SCL Festival is about far more than remarkable concert settings. Through competitions, performances, workshops, and shared musical experiences, young musicians from different countries and cultures come together, learn from one another, and form friendships that often endure long after the final applause.

Surrounded by Vienna’s musical heritage, elegant architecture, and vibrant cultural life, participants become part of an international community united by curiosity, ambition, and a shared love of music. The result is a festival experience that combines artistic excellence, cultural discovery, and genuine human connection — creating memories that remain long after the last note has faded.
