As the roll out of Covid vaccine programmes start to accelerate around the world, Governments are now starting to seriously look at selectively opening international borders and identifying which countries can be welcomed first. One thing is certain around international borders opening up – it will be a staged process.
Talk of a trans-Tasman bubble has been banded about for many months and whilst Australia has been very willing, the conservative approach from the NZ Government has hampered progress in recent months. However, if you read the NZ media it would appear that real progress has been made of late and announcements on timeframes seem imminent.
Whilst New Zealand readies itself for a trans-Tasman bubble, the Australian government have been working hard on other travel bubbles and Singapore has also emerged as a front runner for the establishment of a 2-way quarantine free bubble.
This is really exciting news for Australian schools as Singapore is an outstanding destination for educational travel.
We have taken many groups to Singapore in the past and we believe that a 2-way travel bubble will make this destination more popular than ever. Singapore provides a range of experiences and is an ideal destination for Sport, Music and increasingly for STEM type tours with Singapore’s rapidly growing reputation as a science and technology hub for the Asia Pacific region. It’s a culturally diverse destination with a rich history, great all year-round climate and a very safe place to travel with world class medical Infrastructure.
September 2022 onwards would be the ideal timeframe to consider Singapore and if you’d like more information about what a Singapore experience looks like then please contact us for more information.
